The New U.S. Ambassador To Argentina -

Change the record already. Everyone should just shut up about global warming. Nobody is going to change their mind, so talk about something that actually matters instead. -

Tell ya what I'll cut you a deal, I'll stop comparing GW to a religion when you stop preaching all that fire and brimstone end of the world nonsense
Curlyrocks - August 13, 2014, 8:55 pm
can we do it?
Curlyrocks - August 13, 2014, 8:54 pm
away was in a bad location. No one objects to this, they demand fracking be shut down instead of done properly, so when it happens any way (and it will) it's done 1/2 a$$ed and leaks. We need that energy and we will take it, the question is how clean can

plasic keeps building up in the sea, radiation keeps leaking from Fukushima, fine particulates keep building up in the arctic turning the ice black (probably the real reason for them melting) and more green space is cleared because the strip mall 2 miles.

to reduce pollution and make the world more environmentally sound, I just think that focusing on CO2 when there are a lot of bigger more obvious problems with the environment is stupid. Maybe CO2 is bad, there's still no definite proof, meanwhile the...

The science shows a 1 degree temprature rise in 100 years, history ice core samples and other refrence points show that the earth has undergone much more drastic changes in its climate before human existence and well before the industrial age. I want....

Great! Thank you for the share.
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 6:58 pm
Ironically,I hope you're right. Who wants to be right about calamity? But they're probably right on this :-/ But...but...what if we cut down pollution and make the world a more environmentally friendly place and it's for nothing? ;-) Is it? ;-p Nuff said
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 6:56 pm
But are you telling me you'd place all your bets on the 3% chance?Because of your fundamental distrust of science any time, any where.Or would you pull a Bob Marley and find one quack doctor who claims your cancer can be cured by herbs and happy thinking?
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 6:53 pm
It's about a balance of probability. The probability is so great in the case of GW that it warrants action, just like if doctors gave you a 3% chance to live.Sure, there's a slim chance they're wrong.Science never claims to be infallible. Religion does.
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 6:50 pm
...Not because the Bible says it, and not because a large number of pastors signed a declaration. Just 3 ministers in Eastern Kentucky said it. Can you see how that would be unfair of me? This isn't ROCKET SCIENCE...just 'science.' ;-) Cheers.
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 6:49 pm
...Any non-consensus opinion rendered by a scientist is not authoritative. What you are doing is like if I were to try and argue that "The Xtians" believe that all people who eat chocolate will go to hell, just because 3 Baptist ministers said it....
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 6:46 pm
It is possible that some experts said what you say they said, but unless there was a consensus, you are still attempting a straw man by citing their opinions. The scientific community only wields authority when it acts by consensus....

So let's have that conservation: *ahem*
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 6:43 pm
...the 'right' have the shroud of Turin people who think they have hard evidence of the resurrection of Christ.LMAO...But if speak about "real science", I don't think you are honestly entering that world...yet.
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 6:42 pm
...and, ironically, on that you are correct. Junk scientists, who make up the fringe, don't deserve your time. Liberal examples of that are the Bigfoot hunters who hope to sneak in environmentalist politics by claiming the forests still hold 'magic'...
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 6:41 pm
Look, you are not looking at "science." You want to have that conservation? Any time, any where. :-) In the meanwhile, the problem is you are NOT actually speaking about "science." Basically you define science as a religion of the left/liberals...
Curlyrocks - August 13, 2014, 5:09 pm
so you constantly tell us to look at the science so I did, and it turns out I'm still not convinced so now you want to take science out of the conversation?
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 1:42 pm
I agree the politics surrounding the issue is wack on both ends, Obama and the right. The science and the data, however, is not. Leave them out of it. They are just doing their jobs. Sheeesh.
fauxnews - August 13, 2014, 1:40 pm
That is so thoroughly an ignorant comment lacking in understanding about the complexities of climatology and the issue you are speaking of that any one has ever uttered. The only sci-fi here is the story you just told. You wear your ignorance proudly.
Curlyrocks - August 13, 2014, 1:32 pm
Because the earth warming 1 degree in 100 years, that's science. The earth is now out of control warming and there's only 1 way to stop it and that's by shutting down 90% of energy and transport, that's pseudo-science fiction.
Zeitguy - August 13, 2014, 10:42 am
I love the whole titanic thing you have going on there. Cracked my a** up.
EmmaRoydes - August 13, 2014, 9:35 am
As opposed to lefties who go with government as the answer to everything. How's that working out for you?
